Teddy Gentry, founding band-member of Alabama, has reportedly been arrested on drug charges.

The 70-year-old bassist and backing vocalist was charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, when he was arrested on Monday in Cherokee County, Alabama.

The Cherokee County jail log indicated Gentry was booked into jail just after 10:30am and released shortly after 11am.  A bond amount was not released.

Alabama have been semi-retired for more than a decade,  but they continue to play shows and make appearances.
